Our Story
The What
GOP Uniforms’ goal is to provide quality custom uniforms at an affordable price to the local market and its neighboring islands. Located on the Caribbean island of Curacao, the tropical weather is a determining factor for the materials used for the uniforms. Sturdy and breathable textiles not only provide comfortable uniforms but also durable quality.
The When
The company concept was born just a few months prior to the COVID-19 pandemic as a result of a conversation among parents about the quality of the school gym uniforms. This
conversation sparked a search for products that are suitable and affordable for the local climate.
The Why
The letters GOP is an acronym for the word “garments of praise” which is a reference to Isaiah 61:3, in which God gives those who grieve “a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair.” We believe that the garment of praise given by the Lord is not for our glory but His and it is a living testimony of what Jesus has done and continues to do in our lives.
